Customer Concern: The J100 series phone has a Held Line Reminder of 60 seconds which is too long / to short.
Warning: This article provides information on how to change a specific J100 phone setting. Do not make any other changes. Doing so may render the J100 phone unusable and may require it to be reset to default. Only change the setting instructed in this article.
Solution:
The Hold Reminder Timer is the amount of time in seconds that the phone waits before alerting the user that there is still a call on Hold.
The default setting is 60 seconds but can be modified between 0 and 999 based on your personal preferences, and user requirements.
This can be manually adjusted for individual phones if required.
Process:
NOTE – This must be completed from a computer with access to the local area network (LAN) the phone resides on.

Login to the web page of the phone:

1. Browse to Settings | Feature Access
2. Adjust the Hold Reminder Timer to the desired amount of time. Range is 0-999 seconds.
3. Press Save
This setting will survive a reboot of the phone.
