Answer
Avaya Cloud Office Paging feature allows real-time announcements to Algo 8301 Paging Adaptor with no additional cost. The Algo 8301 Paging Adaptor can be registered as a Paging Device to receive Page messages via Paging Group. This integration would allow Avaya Cloud Office Users to send Page messages via Physical Deskphones, Desktop Apps and Mobile Apps.
Solution Requirement
- Algo 8301 Paging Adaptor (Local Paging Setup)
- Paging Only (Group) feature on Avaya Cloud Office to administer Paging setup
Setup Overview
- Create “Paging Device” on your Avaya Cloud Office to generate SIP Credentials
- Using the SIP Credentials, register the Algo 8301 Paging Adaptor to Avaya Cloud Office
- Create “Paging Only” group on your Avaya Cloud Office to generate a Paging Group extension number
- Add the “Paging Device” (Algo 8301) to “Device to Receive Page” section of the Paging Only group
- Now, use “Users Allowed to Page this Group” section of the Paging group to add ACO Users allowed to send Page messages to the Algo 8301 Paging Adaptor
Once the above setup is complete, any User added to the Paging Only group as “Users Allowed to Page this Group” section can initiate a Page message by dialing *84 (followed by the Paging Group extension number), and the User’s call (audio) will be auto answered and played on the Algo 8301 Paging Setup
Note –
- A maximum of 25 devices can be added to a Paging Only group to receive Page Messages.
- Avaya Cloud Office support ends at sharing the SIP Credentials to register the 3rd Party Device. For any issues with the Paging Equipment, contact the original device manufacturer.
