Avaya J Series Deskphone are equipped with Speaker Phone, which can also be used for real-time announcements with no additional cost. The “Paging Only” feature on your Avaya Cloud Office enables the User to transmit one-way voice message to a group of Avaya J Series Deskphone (played on Speaker Phone). Based on the coverage requirement, multiple Paging Groups can be created on your Avaya Cloud Office.
 
Solution Requirement
  • Avaya J100 Series Desk Phone to Initiate and Play messages
  • Paging Only (Group) feature on Avaya Cloud Office to administer Paging setup


Setup Overview:
  1. Create individual “Paging Only” group for every Paging Zone on your Avaya Cloud Office
  2. Based on the Paging Zones, add Phone Sets (part of Paging Zone) to “Device to Receive Page” section of the Paging group created for the specific Paging Zone
  3. Add the intended Users to send Page Messages to “Users Allowed to Page this Group” section of the Paging groups

Once the above setup is complete, any User added to the Paging Only group as “Users Allowed to Page this Group” section can initiate a Page message by dialing *84 (followed by the Paging Group extension number), and the User’s call (audio) will be auto answered and played on the Avaya J100 Series Speaker Phones


Note – A maximum of 25 devices can be added to a Paging Only group to receive Page Messages.
