  • Caller cannot leave a message in a mailbox.
  • After hearing the personal greeting there is no beep.
  • System says 'Good Bye' and disconnects the caller.

 

Problem Clarification

 

Uable to leave message in mailbox, system says 'Good Bye' and disconnects the caller.

 

Cause

 
 

In an individual mailbox, there is a prompt for the mailbox to be set up for Answer Only Mode or Record Mode.

When the mialbox is in Answer Only Mode the mailbox will play the personal greeting and will say 'Good Bye'.


Note: 'Answer Only Mode' mailbox can be useful for the annoouncements.

Solution

 

Change mailbox configuration to 'Record Mode'
