Solution

185A Network may be required. If that is not available, it can be substituted with an equivalent network.

Description of 185A network:

A 185A Network is composed of a 400 ohm resistor and a 2.2 mf capacitor in series. If the 185A Network is not available it can be substituted with an equivalent network.

185A network ................. CC#100331461.

Caller ID Troubles (Partner II R3.0 or higher and all ACS/Endeavor systems):

If the caller ID information is not being received by the Partner System, you may need a 185A Network installed ahead of the Control Unit (CU) on the tip and ring on all caller ID lines. Note that the trouble may be with the Dial Tone Provider, so you should quote appropriate charges.

Conference Call Troubles:

If you are having troubles with getting a loud buzz or static on conference calls on a/phones and a/all , a 185A network may need to be installed ahead of the system on the tip and ring lines.

Speaker phone troubles:

185A network can be used to reduce clipping that may occur on a speaker phone on a Partner set.

Adjunct troubles:

If you have a single-line device such as a fax machine, modem, answering machine, etc, installed within the system and the device is having troubles receiving calls, but it works ok ahead of the CU, you may need a 185A network installed by a technician on the station jack.
