Problem Clarification

Unable to download/upload announcements to Media Gateways G450, different FW´s releases 31.19.2, 31.20.0

When copying announcements over to the media gateway's, getting an error:

“10.11.45.36: ValFtpClient constructor: Unknown error on ftp attempt to '10.11.45.36', but the ping was successful.

Client reported 'Connection refused

Customer indicated they are using VAM 5 and/or ASA 5 rather than ASA 6.0 SP5.

Cause

This appears to be a gateway issue see below: No listen socket 21 on GW2 and the ip routing is the same on both. Good Gateway GW1

1.Tried swapping with working gateway port but did not help.
2.Upgraded to latest firmware 30.20.1/1
3.Rebooted gateway.ftp works for few minutes but fails again.

Solution

Issue fixed  in firmware release after 31.20.1.
