Details

Upon boot up of phone display states No Reg Domain Set

Problem Clarification

Out of the box the phone will boot up and display "No Reg Domain Set". This pertains to which country the device is being operated in so that it can conform to the rules and regulations set forth in that country that govern 802.11 wireless frequencies.

Cause

The Regulatory Domain defaults to None on the wireless handset display.

Solution

FCC requirements dictate that the menu for changing the domain be available by password, which in this case is the LINE button.

To change the domain, start by shutting off the phone. Press and hold both the green and red keys until the phone starts up. Release the red key first and then the green and you will be presented with a password screen. Default password is 123456. Navigate to Network config > Reg Domain. Press LINE and then choose the domain of the country you are in. Complete by choosing a frequency and the power setting. Once chosen you will be placed back in the Network config screen and can continue configuring the phone.
