Vtech SIP phones emulating Avaya 9640.

Problem Clarification

Getting one way audio when using Vtech SIP phones (emulating Avaya 9640) dialing out on a SIP line using a calling card or joining a conference call.

Cause

Vtech devices were sending DTMF via RFC2833 (which is how they were certified with Avaya).

Solution

Changed to in-band signaling
