CM S8730 is duplicating DTMF tone requests from Genesys softphone (e.g. **77 instead of *7). The current T1's were moved from G650's to G450's.

Problem Clarification

CM is duplicating DTMF tone requests from Genesys softphone (e.g. **77 instead of *7)

Cause

Issue found only to affect CTI related dtmf and addressed in CM5.2.1 SP3

Solution

Issue was addressed in Service Pack 3 of CM 5.2.1

SP3  patch 18250 released June 7, 2010
 
Communication Manager may send duplicate DTMF digits to a phone or trunk if the phone or
trunk is connected to a H.248 media gateway.

Issue was raised with the original title
DTMF get send twice out on GW when request is from CTI app
 
There was no patch created for the CM5.2 load for this fix; recommendation at the
time was to upgrade to CM 5.2.1 and apply SP3
 
Further research verifies that the above fix was also applied into the 6.0 base
load.
