Problem Clarification

These are the instructions to shut down Definity Audix

Cause

A shutdown is required to replace hardware or when a power outage is scheduled for the site.

A shutdown for the Definity AUDIX  may be done via the Reset System Shutdown command or by pressing the Boot/Shutdown button.

Solution

Shutdown button method:

  1. To initiate the shutdown, use a pen or pin (not a pencil) to press the Shutdown button on the front of the DEFAUD board just above the securing latch.
  2. The three LEDs on the front of the DEFAUD can be watched to determine when the shutdown is complete.
  3. When both the green AND yellow LEDs are off (4.0) or when the LCD display says MSHUT (3.2), the shutdown is complete. The DEFAUD can be removed from the cabinet or the power can be turned off.

Terminal command shutdown method:

  1. On the DEFAUD command line, type reset system shutdown or rese s s. Press F3.
  2. Press F3 and the shutdown will begin.
  3. When both the green AND yellow LEDs are off (4.0) or when the LCD display says MSHUT (3.2), the shutdown is complete. The DEFAUD can be removed from the cabinet or the power can be turned off.

To power back up, slide the Definity Audix back into the correct slots.
