VSP 9000 v3.3.2.0 Cooling Module Descriptions are incorrect in "show" output and Customer Documentation

There are inconsistencies with VSP 9000 Cooling Module Designations (9012FC, 9012SC, 9012RC) within "show" output and Customer Documentation.

Product labels on the faceplate are considered to be correct:

- 9012FC for the IO-Fans (Front Module Cooling / Side Fans) [Part# EC1411001-E6]

- 9012RC for the SF-Fans (Rear Module Cooling) [Part# EC1411002-E6]

Problem Clarification

Documentation, labels on the shipping boxes, and “show” output associated with Cooling Module Descriptions do not match the product's faceplate description.

Cause

Numerous references for Card Type/Module Description are in error.

Product labels on the faceplate are considered to be correct:

- 9012FC for the IO-Fans (Front Module Cooling / Side Fans) [Part# EC1411001-E6]

- 9012RC for the SF-Fans (Rear Module Cooling) [Part# EC1411002-E6]
  

Solution

Work Items to correct the "show" output and Customer Documentation related to Cooling Module descriptions were submitted.

wi01095911 - VSP 9000 Cooling Module Descriptions are incorrect in show/fulltech output (Fixed v3.3.4.0) 

wi01097165, - VSP 9000 Cooling Module Descriptions are incorrect in show/fulltech output (Fixed v3.4.0.0)

* The output for the show sys-info card command can incorrectly identify the SF (Rear) Fan Tray module description as 9012SC. This description was programmed in the SEEPROM during manufacturing of early 9012RC cooling modules. These modules will continue to report this information. Newly manufactured SF (Rear) Fan Tray modules correctly display 9012RC as the module description.
