CM: Inbound calls to not landing on the designated extensions & getting diverted to some other extensions

Problem Clarification

  • User has extensions in the range 611-2xxx & 611-4xxx.
  • All incoming & outgoing calls for 611-4xxx extension range work fine.
  • All outgoing calls & internal incoming calls for 611-2xxx extension range work fine.
  • However, all incoming calls over the PSTN (direct to the extension using DIDs) do not ring on the designated extensions but get diverted to the 611-4xxx range of extensions.

Cause

Below trace shows that although user dials DID for extension 611-2197, the call lands on Trunk 1 & goes directly to extension 611-4089. No call forwarding or other diverts activated.

Solution

Change the entry from 4089044 to 408904 so that calls for the entire extension range can come in on Trunk 1 & go to designated extensions.
