Terminal Emulator does not work on Microsoft Windows 7
-Customer running 64 bit Windows 7

Problem Clarification

CMS Avaya Terminal Emulator on Windows 7 64 bit. Older Avaya terminal Emulators loads were never designed for Windows 7. They often worked with the 32 Bit versions of Windows 7 but they will not work with the 64 bit versions.

It comes up as blank window and will not allow you to type or enter commands.

Cause

Older terminal emulator loads do not work with Windows 7 because of the changes that Microsoft has made to Windows 7.

Solution

Download R17 LA_31 Terminal Emulator or newer from support.avaya.com.
