Problem Clarification

Not able to create IPv6 VLAN on ERS 8600, running on software version 7.1.5.0. Oper Status is showing down.

Cause

Configuration issue.

Solution

Use below CLI commands to configure IPv6 VLAN:

 

Creating a VLAN:
 
config vlan 111 create byport 1
 
Configuring the VLAN as an IPv6 VLAN:
 
config vlan 111 ipv6 create addr 8888:0:0:0:0:0:0:1/96
config vlan 111 ports add 2/3,2/4
config vlan 111 ipv6 admin enable
