Problem Clarification

when we perform sftp backup for “security file” transfer timeouts with error “FILE TRANSFER TIMED OUT (300 seconds)”,did the manual backup for “OS” and “XLN” and it was transferred successfully but security failed as its backup is huge and timeout happens while transferring,

SFTP of backup image to backups at 16.72.166.204 to /cm31/cm

backup: 40: SFTP of backup image to backups at 16.72.166.204 failed -- Scheduled Backup terminated for security

Cause

There were few huge logs file saved under the folder which are backed up in security backup which was making the security backup as large as 900MB+ because of which timeout was occuring while performing the SFTP

Solution

move those huge size file to /tmp folder now and security backup file is back normal size 130KB+,below are the file moved to temp folder.
