When you click a telephone number on an Outlook signature to initiate a call with Avaya
Collaboration Services, Outlook freezes for approximately 3 minutes before the call is initiated. This
does not occur when you use click-to-call with a phone number in the body of the email.
Recovery action
The issue occurs when the Instant Messaging Contacts action is enabled in Outlook. To resolve this

About this task
Use this procedure to disable the Instant Messaging Contacts action in Outlook. When this action is
enabled, Outlook freezes when you use click-to-call functionality in an email signature.
Procedure
1. In Microsoft Outlook, select Options.
2. From the Mail tab, click the Editor Options button.
3. On the left-hand-side pane, click the Proofing tab.
4. Click the AutoCorrect Options button.
5. Click the Actions tab.
6. Deselect Instant Messaging Contacts.
