Problem Clarification

Unable to establish connection with CMS Server and CMS Supervisor

Getting an error message: "a connection to the specific CMS Server could not be established".

Customer is using Telnet and SSH connection

No issues reaching CMS server via putty

Cause

CMS supervisor is not compatible with the CMS server
Always ensure that you are running the latest CMS Supervisor version.

Solution

1. Uninstall the old supervisor completely.

2. Install R17 LA31 supervisor from support site but make sure the profile is having a correct CMS server vsersion.

3. Make sure this is installed as ADMINISTRATOR account.

4. If steps 1-3 doesn't work, use another user or create NEW USER

5. Try Manual Login.
