Details

Avaya One-X Communicator msxml4.dll not supported by Microsoft.
Tested with One-X communicator 6.2.4.07 and 6.2.5.03 other versions may also be affected.
 

Problem Clarification

Avaya One-X Communicator msxml4.dll not supported by Microsoft.

When installed the msxml4.dll is not in c:/windows/system32, once the One-X Communicator is used it adds the msxml4.dll in the system32 folder.
 

This invalid file caused a customer network security scan to fail.

 

Cause

One-X communicator firmware versions

Solution

Upgrade to 6.2.5.04 firmware or higher that contains the fix for ONEXC-11554 "MSXML version vulnerabilities in 1XC application"
