When attempting to backup server:The Backup operation has failed. Please check gateway UI log [/opt/avaya/SAL/gateway/GatewayUI/logging/gw-ui.log] in the View Logs or check logs from the console for details.

Problem Clarification

Backups for SAL were failing. Able to replicate.

Solution

Issue was /saldata/backup/archives directory structure missing and no backupHistory.xml file. Once i proceeded to create directory/missing file, backups were successful.
