Details

Genesys T-Server unable to register DNs (stations) to TSAPI. Licenses not getting checked out and "Alarm Viewer" shows things like: (1) Security A file has been modified illegally; (2) TSAPI entered 30 day grace period.

Problem Clarification

50 percent of DN Stations not registered.

Cause

Timeout.

Solution

Genesys suggested that we make the following changes on the Tserver, and after doing so, the Tservers came online within minutes of the restart.

1.  Increase the value of 'use-link-bandwidth' to 200.  This will allow TServer to send more requests per second..  With a current AES, 200 should still be quite conservative.

2.  If you don't already have a section called 'gctm' in your TServer options, add it, and in it, add an option called 'link-register-timeout' with a value of '60000'.  This will double the amount of time TServer will wait (60 seconds instead of 30)
