G700 - Onboard (v0) VoIP engine keeps resetting

In the gateway event log the following message pattern can be observed and it is reoccuring about every 30 minutes:

Problem Clarification

Onboard (v0) VoIP engine keeps spontaneously resetting on G700 Media Gateway.
What have been tried to resolve the problem:

· Replaced the whole G700 (this is the 3rd G700)

· Removed the G700 from stack, including the stacking module

· Removed all MM modules from all slots

· Upgraded the VoIP engine’s FW to 77

· Upgraded the G700’s firmware to 30.27.1

· Upgraded the P330's firmware to 4.1.12

Regardless of this the problem was not disappearing

Cause

Faulty G700. Although this is very rare situation it may happen a new G700 is faulty.

Replace G700

When the G700 was new it had about 1% failure rate of the embedded VoIP engine coming from the factory so it is possible a replacement gateway comes with a fault.
