One X Agent upgrade from 2.0 to 2.5.5.

One X Agent 2.0 creates a AVCClient registy entry under a Avaya one-x Communicator folder. With the 2.5.5 installer being run as an upgrade option, this key is not being removed.

One X Agent 2.0 Problem key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Avaya\Avaya one-X Communicator\AVCClient

One X Agent 2.5.5 key value:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Avaya\Avaya one-X AgentAVCClient

 

Problem Clarification

When the One X Agent 2.5.5 setup is run, it does not remove all registry settings added by the 2.0 installer.

Cause

The One X Agent 2.0 should be uninstalled first before installing the 2.5.5, or a manual removal of this key.

Solution

Perform an uninstall using windows remove program, or via the One X Agent 2.0 installer prior to installing 2.5.5. There are no issues with registry keys being removed.
