Details

Agents complain that auxiliary code 07 doesn't work.

Agents get error tone. Denial event 1644 is seen when trying to dial Aux Code 07

CM Reports as:  R016x.02.0.823.0, Service pack 02.0.823.0-21100.

Problem Clarification

List trace of station when agent dialing an Auxiliary code 02 which works fine:

10:14:30 G729A ss:off ps:20

         rgn:8 [10.167.174.100]:4890

         rgn:1 [10.133.173.38]:2332

10:14:31 dial *1402

10:14:31 term cid 0xfd4

The digit string "*1402" is the correct sequence expected, as "*14" is the feature-access code for Aux Work Access Code:

List trace of station when agent dialing Aux code 07 which fails:

10:12:09 G729A ss:off ps:20

         rgn:8 [10.167.174.100]:4890

         rgn:60 [10.30.180.43]:2152

10:12:10 dial #08

10:12:10 denial event 1644: Orig block/invalid digits D1=0x3594 D2=0xa4d

10:12:13 idle station 2212325 cid 0xa4d

Digit string "#08" is not what was expected.

Collected and IP Station MST to find out what digits were sent by the IP station to the CM in each case:

MST of good call (Aux code 02)

10:14:30.600 Dolan Q931 In ==> INFO 81A05:81A0501:button change: terminal (type 1):btn num=0t10

10:14:31.758 2,005 Dolan Q931 In ==> INFO 81A05:81A0501:button change: dial pad:btn num=0t2

MST of bad call (Aux Code 07)

10:12:10.441 Dolan Q931 In ==> INFO 81A05:81A0501:button change: dial pad:btn num=0t7

As can be see in both MSTs, the station is not sending the Aux Code feature code digits "*14", instead it is sending Terminal Button 10 which corresponds (on the station configuration) to abbreviated dialing list 1, and then the two digits of the Aux Code.
