Problem Clarification

IP Conference Phones 1692 are not registering, display reads "error loading config file"

Cause

A configuration file needs to be setup with the new phones MAC address on the TFTP server

Solution

Log into the TFTP server
cd /tftpboot
Copy the old configuration file and create a new one with the phones MAC address.
Example:

cp 000000000000.cfg 000AAAAAAAAA.cfg
cp 000000000000.cfg 000AAAAAAAAA.cfg

Reboot the phones.
