Details

Wfo 12.0 server cant be access using port 7001, however from port 7002 (https) are acessible.

Problem Clarification

There's program called "quenetd.exe" wchich ocuppied port 7001. WFO shows alarm when trying access port 7001 and then use port 7002 to access web interface.

Cause

Another third part app on the server ocuppid the port 7001 and it caused port 7001 access failed. after uninstall the app, there're still some configuration need correct:
1. system/SSLEnabled in the BPConfig table was set to true. 2. in the SecuritySetting.xml had value true 3. When starting EM using port 7001 it switched to SSL and displayed a waring message about invalid certificate. 4. The Configuration page showed multiple pending messages.

Solution

Uninstall unused third part APP quenetd.exe from WFO server.
1. change system/SSLEnabled in the BPConfig table to false.
2. change in the SecuritySetting.xml to false.
All the configuration messages were processed. Then could start EM using port 7001.

Additional Relevant Phrases

fROM wfo productiondomain.log it can find the port 7001 has been used and failed to use for WFO access: Unable to create a server socket for listening on channel "Default". The address 10.48.10.78 might be incorrect or another process is using port 7001: java.net.BindException: Address already in use: JVM_Bind. BEA-002613 Channel "DefaultSecure[1]" is now listening on 127.0.0.1:7002 for protocols iiops, t3s, ldaps, https. Check the concurrent port usage from the server and then identify which process is using the port. IE setting.
