Details

BP states that they have a new Portwell CAD not booting up all the way unable to connect via serial connection. SBCE 6.3 new install on Portwell CAD equipment;

Problem Clarification

BP states that she is able to go through an install via VGA and monitor of an SBCE 6.3 software to an Portwell CAD equipment. However, the install gets stuck on "starting atd [ok]" and never moves past it. So she tried installing via Serial port but she is unable to connect via Putty.

Cause

Missed settings in Putty. Possibly the translation, the COM1 port settings, or anything out of the correct settings.

Solution

Assisted BP in installing SBCE 6.3 to Portwell CAD via Serial using Putty. The settings for Serial connection for Putty to work is below:

Avaya -- Proprietary. Use pursuant to the terms of your signed agreement or Avaya policy
