Problem Clarification

AACC agent login attempts were denied with denial event 2040. This happened when the AACC aplication was simulated with an IPREG and MBATT tool. The tool is used to simulate a load test for up to 1000 concurrent logged in agents. During the testing we found that after approx 105-110 agents logins were denied.

Cause

The reason for the rejections was that even though the gatekeeper confirm message was being sent by CM it never reached the end point simulator. Therefore the simulator never sent a registration request but continued to resend the Gatekeeper requests and this left TCP sockets in a pending state. Eventually the default number of available pending TCP/IP sockets (180) was reached and any new requests were denied.

Solution

Set up the system so that the IP-network regions use TTS. "Far end establishes TCP/IP socket".
In order for this to be done correclty it must be ensured that the network ports specified in the IP-network-region forms are not blocked in any firewalls etc
