Problem Clarification

Master System restarts from time to time due to memory heap issue.

This causes call recording issues due to race condition between Master and Standby for the recording ports.

Cause

  • System has minimal resources
  • No proper system restart after link fluctuation between Master and Standby

Solution

System restart in proper sequence has resolved the issue.

The proper restart sequence that needs to be followed:

  • Stop Slave(s)
  • Stop Standby(s)
  • Stop  Master
     
  • Start Master
  • Start Standby(s)
  • Start Slave(s)
This service restart is mandatory when there is/was a
  • Link fluctuation/loss between Master and Standby server
  • Link fluctuation/loss between a Data Source and Master or Standby
  • Role change (failover) has happened recently.

The Central Replay Server (CRS) can be restarted any time.
