Intermittent Double DTMF tones
CM6.3 with SBC from ACME packet.Issue is intermittent. Handful of calls per day exhibit this issue SBC shows single digits passing to CM. IVR (Avaya MPS) shows double digit arriving.

2127926948(callign party)--> TG 40 (SIPTrunk)--> 18883525988(called Prty)--> when the digits are pressed it takes resources from MEDPRO (10.1.6.20 or 10.1.6.21).
Both the boards are on HW02 FW066. CM sends INVITE to ASM, including RTP payload 101 in the SDP offer. To 200 OK response to CM removes the RTP payload from the SDP.

Problem Clarification

Calls route via SBC,SEMAPHONE,SBC, SM, CM Medpro, DS1FD station to MPS port.

Issue:- DTMF going out sip trunk to Telco is only passing first DTMF digit after the call is connected. (call will go through but if you enter further DTMF like to enter a conference ID only the 1st DTMF is transmitted).

Cause

DTMF being sent in the media stream and in 101 RTP payload events.

Solution

Modify the Settings on the medpro or media gateway as described in the application note 100109929 or get the ACME Packet SBC end to change the parameter "RFC2833-PKTS-END-ONLY" from the "disabled" to "enabled" (Default)

combo patch-24321 was developed which included the MR fix CM-18997 to resolve the DTMF issue. Please reachout to Tier 4 before implementing this patch in your system.
