G450/G350 Media gateway not registering; not reachable on the network

Problem Clarification

Seen on G350 and G450 Gateways,  FW 36.16

Media Gateway is not reachable over the network; 'show faults' with a direct connection shows an + H248 registration failure.

- Updating FW has no change.
- Cables checked clear.
- Powercycling had no effect. 

 

Cause

The Media Gateway was faulty. 

Solution

Replace the Media Gateway.
