Details

CMS is not installed on virtual machine.
The server type is DELL R630.

Problem Clarification

When trying to reboot on R630 server "AVAYA - CMS R18.0.1" by running command "shutdown - r now",
it didn't reboot, but was a normal shutdown operation.

BBE has searched and checked the logs, believing this could be issue with Dell server, not CMS, in fact, an IERR error is very broad, as it is indicating that something that communicates with the CPU has had an issue. Since most of the system interacts with the CPU, this could be a lot of things.

Cause

Dell server issue

Solution

Engaged Dell for further investigation. please refer to below results:
====================================================
Issue 1.
"CPU 1 has an internal error (IERR)" is displayed on the LCD monitor
→ Have confirmed the above message from the log.
Also have newly confirmed that the following message appears for several times
"PWR 2262 / The Intel Management Engine has reported an internal system error"
Because the BIOS version is old, the message above can be expected to be resolved by updating.

Issue 2.
It does not reboot normally when running Shutdown -r now command
→ It is a different issue from the above. DELL proposes replacing motherboard and NIC
====================================================

After DELL work, No need to reissue the license for CMS.
But for HAmenu -> Admin-sync,the license need to be reissued by sending request sheet to Japan APS team ([email protected])
