IP Office: How to Reset a User Voicemail Password on Embedded VM or VMPRO

For IP Office Standard Edition with Voicemail Pro or Embedded Messaging:

First, open IPO Manager and log into the system using the Administrator password. Once in the system:

  1. Click on Users in the left hand column.
  2. Find the user that they needs to have their password reset and click on it to highlight it.
  3. On the right hand side of the page, click on the second tab labeled Voicemail for this user.
  4. At the top of the page,type in the new password under Voicemail code and then type it again under Confirm Voicemail code.
  5. On the bottom left click ok.
  6. Then save the configuration using the floppy disc icon or File, Save Configuration. This change can be merged when asked.

The user should be able to log in with the new password now.

 

For IP Office Basic Edition with Embedded Messaging: 

 

First, open IPO Manager and log into the system using the Administrator password. Once in the system:

1. Access the Admin Tasks menu by clicking, View, Hide Admin Tasks to "unhide" the Admin Tasks Menu.

2. Click on User Setup and then Advanced Settings.

3. From the User Selection box in the left-hand corner, select the user you wish to update from the drop-down box.

4. From the Voicemail Settings section, change the Voicemail Code and Confirm Voicemail Code to a 4 digit, non-sequential number.

5. Click Apply in the lower right-hand corner.

6. Save the configuration to the IP Office by clicking on the Disc icon or clicking on File, Save Configuration.
