Problem Clarification

call path CM --> Sipera SBC --> AVST voicemail transfer the caller --> Sipera -- trunk 12
internal calls to AVST voicemail call back feature transfer the caller to internal or external number, thru SIP trunk and the call is disconnecting

Cause

Packet sniff found 503 Service Unavailable error was from the SIP SP Windstream due to the dynamic RTP payload from the Mediant 1000 being set to 127 instead of 101.

packet capture shows only one way audio stream from SBC to the Mediant 1000.

Solution

change to RTP payload type of 101
