G430 Media Module Faults - Insertion Failure

Problem Clarification

+ Insertion failure, mmid = v1, 04/07-16:16:03.00

S8300 in LSP down

Updating Firmware and a power cycle of the G430 had no effect.

Cause

The error shows S8300D media server cannot be identified. It should be a hardware issue. As confirmed by onsite engineer, there's a problem with the old S8300 server.

Solution

Replace the S8300, Check the backplane of G430 as well, if that needs replacing too.
