As per release notes we need vCenter to deploy the OVA.

Important Notes:
• This server must use Intel processors.
• The OVA uses Linux Red Hat 7.3 as operating system.
• The deployment must be done via vCenter only and the ESXi version must be 6.0 or 6.5.
• After the deployment is done, please click on "check compliance" under the "VM Storage Policies" section in order to make the power-on button available.
• In case of a customer provided server, for better performance it is recommended to load the ESXi version obtained from the HW server vendor instead of the one from the VMware site
• In case of a server provided by Avaya (Avaya Converged Platform Server), the supported AVP virtualization software version is 7.1.2
