Modifying Templates

To modify a template, first display the report by selecting the template from the list shown in the information window (you may need to click on the “More Trends...” QuickLink). Then click on the Show Report button (or double click on the report name in the list).

Add a graph of your own design to this report by clicking on the Add button just below the charts of this report.

Remove a graph from the report by selecting it (selected graphs will be surrounded by a blue rectangle) and then clicking on the Remove button.

To reposition a graph within the report, select the graph and use one of the four Move arrow buttons located just above the graphs.

To change some or all of the defining criteria for an existing graph, either double click on the graph you want to modify, or select the graph and click the Modify button.

When you click either the Add or Modify button (or double click on the data grid in the graph), the Trend Definition dialog will open and you can modify the selected graph as desired.

To retitle an individual graph, double click on the existing title text.

To retitle the entire report or change the description that appears in the file list, use Save in the File menu and change the name or description in the Report dialog that opens.

If you change the name of the report, it will be saved as a new file and both the old and the new reports will appear in the file list. You can delete the old report by selecting it and clicking the Delete button in the trend-list window (you may need to click on the “More Trends...” QuickLink).

When you are finished modifying the graphs, use can the Escape key on the keyboard to clear the blue rectangle from the window.

For information about how to use the controls in the Trend Definition dialog, see the section Trends in Chapter 4: The CNA Web interface.
