Administering DEFINITY IP Solutions
Before you begin
The DEFINITY IP Solutions gateway is a combination of a C-LAN circuit pack and an IP Media Processor circuit pack residing within the DEFINITY ECS.
These instructions assume the following:
The required circuit packs are already physically installed in the DEFINITY ECS
You are able to access the administration screens of the DEFINITY ECS
The CentreVu Internet Solutions software is installed and operating properly
Multiplying VoIP processing capacity
If your contact center uses the Avaya Web Voice Client (WVC), then one C-LAN circuit pack can handle multiple IP signaling groups for Voice over IP.
If you wish to take advantage of this feature, then you must:
Follow steps 1012 of the IP 600 Hardware Administration section for each IP signaling group you wish to create.
Specify each group as a separate gateway (with the same IP address/domain name as the other groups on the same C-LAN but a unique port number) in the IP600 Software Administration section.
