Administering DEFINITY IP Solutions

Before you begin

The DEFINITY IP Solutions gateway is a combination of a C-LAN circuit pack and an IP Media Processor circuit pack residing within the DEFINITY ECS.

These instructions assume the following:

Multiplying VoIP processing capacity

If your contact center uses the Avaya Web Voice Client (WVC), then one C-LAN circuit pack can handle multiple IP signaling groups for Voice over IP.

If you wish to take advantage of this feature, then you must:

  1. Follow steps 1012 of the IP 600 Hardware Administration section for each IP signaling group you wish to create.

  2. Specify each group as a separate gateway (with the same IP address/domain name as the other groups on the same C-LAN but a unique port number) in the IP600 Software Administration section.
