Install and Connect Multi-Carrier Cabinets
Connect DC Power to PPN and EPN Cabinets
- Be sure the main circuit breaker is OFF.
- Measure and cut 2 pieces of 1 AWG (#70) (44 mm 2) wire long enough to reach from the DC Power Cabinet to the PPN cabinet.
- At the DC Power Cabinet, connect the -48 volt DC wire to the DC OUTPUT circuit breaker. See Typical Power and Ground for a DC-Powered Cabinet. Connect the -48 volt RTN (return) wire to the ground discharge bar.
- Route the wires out of the cabinet, through the hole in the lower rear cover, and to the PPN cabinet.
- Connect the -48 volt DC wire to the -48VDC terminal on the J58890CF Power Distribution Unit.
- Connect the -48 volt RTN wire to the -48RTN terminal on the J58890CF Power Distribution Unit terminal block.
- Repeat Steps 2 through 6 for each EPN and Auxiliary cabinet in the system.
