Upgrade Second Carrier to Optical Drive (High/Critical reliability only) [R9r]

Return to Task List

  1. Type reset system interchange and press Enter. If the MSS is busy, keep typing this command until it is accepted.

  2. Wait until the interchange command successfully completes, which takes about 5 minutes.

  3. Type status spe and press Enter to verify that the new active SPE is functional.

  4. Wait until the Standby Refreshed field shows yes, which takes about 5 minutes.

  5. Repeat the steps from Tape Drive: Check the active tone-clock (High/Critical reliability only) [R9r] through Optical Drive: Verify Interchange (High/Critical reliability only) [R9r].
