Tape Drive: Check the active tone-clock (High/Critical reliability only) [R9r]

Return to Task List

  1. Type status port-network 1 and verify that the Tone-Clock is in the same carrier as the active SPE and that the Service State field shows in.

  2. If the Tone-Clock is not in the same carrier as the active SPE, type set tone-clock [A | B] to set the Tone-Clock to be in the active SPE.

Note: This takes 1 minute to complete. If the service state is incorrect, repeat the command until this condition is met.

If the active Tone-Clock has not migrated to the active carrier after 1 minute, then a Tone-Clock problem exists. Refer to the TDM-CLK Maintenance Objects section of the DEFINITY Enterprise Communications Server Release 9 Maintenance for R9r book to resolve any problems.
