Service packs are required to update the Avaya IR system with the most current software available.
Service packs are numbered in ascending order, and each subsequent service pack replaces all previous service packs. Each software release of the system contains the service packs from the previous software release. For example, release 2.0 contains all the service packs for release 1.0.
Periodically, Avaya releases interim software updates as patches (between the service pack releases). When this happens, the patch is posted on the customer support web site. For the procedure to download and install these patches, see Obtaining software patches.
