This topic provides information about
configuring ELA.
Before beginning, you must know:
To administer the ELA server:
- Start at the Messaging Administration main
menu and select:
Feature Administration
Enhanced-List Application
Configure
the Enhanced List Application
The system displays the Configure Subscriber
Management page.
- In the Enhanced List Application Shadow Mailbox Number
field, type the mailbox number to be used for the shadow mailbox.
This number should match the mailbox number you entered in Creating
a Shadow Mailbox.
- In the List Mailbox Default Class-of-Service field, specify
the class-of-service assigned to the enhanced-list mailbox and
the shadow mailbox. This COS is used as the default for all enhanced
lists. You can change the COS when you create a list.
- In the List Mailbox Default Community ID field, specify the
number of the community to be assigned to the ELA list mailboxes,
from 1 to 15. This number must be different than the community
ID you assign to shadow mailbox. It must also be different from
any community IDs you assign to subscribers. See the example in
Sending Restrictions screen, in which
Column 10 is used.
- Click Save to save the
changes on the page. If you have difficulty saving the data on
this page, check the Manage Local Subscribers page to make sure
that you are entering the correct information about the shadow
mailbox.
- Click Back to return to
the Enhanced-List Application menu.
