Running a remote update can use one of your
networking ports for quite some time. If you want to edit a remote
subscriber immediately but do not want to run a remote update, you
can edit that subscriber manually.
To edit a remote subscriber manually:
- Start at the Messaging Administration main
menu and select:
Global Administration
Subscriber Management
The system displays the Managing Subscribers page.
Note: If you are accessing the system through a dial-up
connection and you have a large number of remote subscribers administered
on your system, you might want to filter subscribers to reduce the number
of subscribers that display on the Manage Remote Subscribers page. Doing
this allows the page to download more quickly. See Sorting
and filtering remote subscribers for information about filtering subscribers. |
- Click Manage in the Remote Subscribers row
for the remote system that contains the subscriber whose settings
you want to edit.
The system displays the Managing Remote Subscribers page for
the specific remote system.
- Highlight the name of the remote subscriber whose settings
you want to edit.
- Click Edit the Selected Subscriber.
The system displays the Edit Local Subscriber page.
- Modify the fields on the page as needed. For more information,
click the field names or Help on the web-based administration
page.
- Click Save to save the changes.
The system saves the changes and displays the Manage Remote
Subscribers page.
- If you want to edit additional remote subscribers, return to
Step 3. If you are finished editing remote subscribers, click
Return to Main.
