Running a remote update can use one of your
networking ports for quite some time. If you want to delete a remote
subscriber immediately but do not want to run a remote update, you
can delete that subscriber manually.
Caution!
Mailing lists often include administered remote subscribers.
If you manually delete a remote subscriber, the subscriber's
name is then removed from mailing lists with no notification
to the remote subscriber or the mailing list owner. |
To delete a remote subscriber manually:
- Start at the Messaging Administration main
menu and select:
Global Administration
Subscriber Management
The system displays the Manage Remote Subscribers page.
Note: If you are accessing the system through a dial-up
connection and you have a large number of remote subscribers administered
on your system, you might want to filter subscribers to reduce the number
of subscribers that display on the Manage Remote Subscribers page. Doing
this allows the page to download more quickly. See Sorting
and filtering remote subscribers for information about filtering subscribers. |
- Click Manage in the Remote Subscribers row
for the remote system that contains the subscriber you want to
delete.
The system displays Manage Remote Subscriber page for the specific
remote system.
- Highlight the name of the subscriber you want to delete.
- Click Delete the Selected Subscriber.
- When prompted to confirm that you want to remove the subscriber
from the database, click OK.
The system deletes the subscriber, displays the updated Manage
Remote Subscribers page, and then displays a subscriber successfully
deleted confirmation message.
- Click OK to close the confirmation message.
- If you want to delete additional subscribers, return to Step
3. If you are finished deleting remote subscribers, click Return
to Main.
