To restore power to the system:
- For a rack-mounted unit: Reattach any cables you might
have unplugged from the back of the machine.
- Plug the AC power cord back into the machine's power outlet
as follows:
- The following machines use a single AC cord. See:
- The MSS-H has an AC cord for each power supply.
- Plug the AC cord into each power supply. See MSS
high-availability configuration (back view).
- Push the rocker switch on each power supply to turn on
the power.
- Press the power button on the front of the machine.
The green power lamp on the front of the machine should be
lit.
- On the MAS: When the reboot completes, log in, then check
that all installed Modular Messaging services are started. These
services all begin with the abbreviation MM. To check or
restart messaging services:
- Double-click the Monitor icon on the desktop.
- In the Monitor window, select Services (Local) in
the left-hand pane.
- In the right-hand pane, scroll down to the MM Messaging
Application Server.
- Check that the server's status is Started. If needed, right-click
on the service and select Start.
- Repeat steps c and d to make sure that each additional MM
service is started.
- Continue with any verification procedures needed to return the
system to service.
