Creating Disconnect and Transfer to Operator nodes

At each stage, callers need to be able to:

It is more efficient to set up these functions once and re-use them when required.

To create a Disconnect node:

  1. Click the Caller Application node (the one called Example in the section To set up the caller application).
  2. Click New > Application node.
  3. The system displays the Add node dialog box.

    • Give the node a name. In this example it is called Disconnect.
    • Click Termination.
    • Give it a key press value. In this example the key press value is 9.
    • Type a short description into the Description field.
  4. Click OK.
  5. The new application node appears on the application tree and the dialog box for the Disconnect node appears.

  6. Click Disconnect.
  7. Click the Prompt tab.
  8. Record a prompt for this node (see Step 4 onwards in Recording prompts for the caller application). In this example the prompt is “Thank you for calling Example corporation”.
  9. Click OK.

To create a Transfer to Operator node:

  1. Click the Caller Application node (the one called Example in the section To set up the caller application).
  2. Click New > Application node.
  3. The system displays the Add node dialog box.

    • Give the node a name. In this example it is called Operator.
    • Click Transfer.
    • Give it a key press value. In this example the key press value is 0.
    • Type a short description into the Description field.
  4. Click OK.
  5. The new application node appears on the application tree and the dialog box for the Transfer node appears.

  6. Click Operator.
  7. Click the Prompt tab.
  8. Record a prompt for this node (see Step 3 onwards in Recording prompts for the caller application). In this example the prompt is “Please wait while your call is transferred to an operator”.
  9. Click OK.
