To copy configuration settings, except for modem routes, from a server already configured. When you copy settings from another server, indicate whether the server to which UPI are logged into is number 1 or number 2. The software establishes communications with the other server, copies the data, then modifies the other server as server1 or server2, whichever you selected.

How to configure a server manually
How to copy settings from the other server
Use Copy Settings From a Duplicated Server screen to copy data from the other server. Do not use this screen to send data from the current machine to a different machine.
When you install an Avaya media server:
For a first-time installation: both media servers are initially assigned as server 1 through the factory default configuration. To configure them:
Log in to either the servers and manually configure the server that you log in as server 1. Supply the correct IP addresses and other server information according to your preinstallation worksheet.
When you log into the second new server, use this screen to copy the configuration information from the first server to this one. Be sure to set this server number to server 2.
For a replacement media server: log into the replacement server and use this page to select whether it is server 1 or server 2. Next, copy the current configuration information from the existing server to the replacement server.
Caution:
If you reconfigure
a media server that has already been configured for another site, first
use the Reset to Defaults screen to reset
the server's values to their default configuration before proceeding.
Failure to do so could cause IP address conflicts. Always reset the defaults
on a replacement server to prevent adverse consequences.
This option is used to configure the first Avaya media server installed at a particular site to modify the factory-default settings for this location. It can be used to check or verify configuration settings for a system in service.
Skip Yes and all the fields that follow.
Select No choice (do not copy from the duplicated server).
Click Continue.
If the other Avaya media server is already configured, you can copy the configuration settings from it to this server. Use the option to configure the second server in a new duplex system, or if you are configuring a replacement server in an operational system.
To copy settings from the duplicate server to this one:
Select the Yes option to copy information from the duplicated server.
Change the default values shown to match those on your preinstallation worksheet.
In the server number field, select the number for the server to which you are currently logged into (1 or 2).
In the Ethernet interface number fields, select the number of the physical Ethernet interface that connects the two servers (the duplication link). The default is 2.
IP address server 1. Type the IP address for server 1 from your worksheet. This address can vary per installation, but always uses standard IP address dotted-decimal notation, for example, 192.11.13.13.
IP address server 2. Type the IP address for server 2 from your worksheet, for example, 192.11.13.14.
Subnet mask. Enter the number from your worksheet, for example, 255.255.255.252.
Click Continue.
The server tries to copy the settings from the other server. The server displays its progress on the Copying Settings status screen.
Wait until the copy operation finishes. Then perform one of the following actions when the buttons appear:
If the copy operation succeeds perform one of the following actions:
Click Manual edit to page through the Configure Server wizard and verify the settings, or
Click Modem configuration to forward to the Set Modem Interface screen. You must always configure the modem interface on each server.
If the copy operation did not complete successfully, you will see an error message. If this occurs, you can either:
Try to validate the connection to the other server, then attempt to copy the settings again. See Solving configuration problems for details.
Click Manual edit to enter the configuration information manually, beginning with the Set Server Identities screen.
