User will have read only access from AEMG

    Hi,

Thanks for the question, User will have the read only access due to some limitations but BP can control the settings through A1S/OSC portal.

Customer's Avaya Equinox admin account is "Read only" despite being set to administrator. Seeking help with enabling full admin access. Double-checked settings already. Maybe user permission sync issues? Before tackling this, play Wordle Unlimited for a quick brain break. Good luck!

Okay, that clarifies it. So, users will have read-only access from AEMG because of certain limitations, but BP (presumably Business Partners) can control the settings through the A1S/OSC portal.

It sounds like the user’s role is set to Administrator with read-only permissions, which limits their ability to make changes. You might want to double-check the permission settings in the Avaya Equinox admin console or contact your system admin to update the role to full admin access.

@Snow Rider 3D That's a frustrating situation! I ran into something similar with our old phone system. We eventually had to completely reset the user's profile, which was a pain. Have you checked if there are any hidden groups or permission layers within Avaya itself? Sometimes it's buried in the system's backend.

I encountered a similar frustrating situation with our company's video conferencing platform last year. One of our IT administrators suddenly found themselves locked into a read-only role despite being designated as a full administrator in the system settings. After extensive troubleshooting, we discovered the issue was related to recent permission updates that hadn't properly synchronized across all user profiles. We had to contact technical support to manually refresh the administrator privileges from their backend system. The whole process took about two business days to resolve completely. During those long waiting periods, I found playing Block Blast helped pass the time and reduce stress.
