CCE 5.0 - non-deliverable emails

We are using CCE 5.0 and have set up non-deliverable emails to be posted to an administrative Outlook email box. The original non-deliverable message is encapsulated in an attachment without an extension. Thus it cannot be opened by Outlook unless it is first saved with an .EML extension. Does anyone know a way around this?

Yes, the way I've been able to open non-deliverable or banned messages is by opening the email in Outlook Express. Somehow, Outlook express was pre-installed on all our systems even though we use Microsoft outlook as our default email application.
