AACC - Microsoft Service Packs Compatibility List

Has anybody used one of the new 2015 Avaya Microsoft Service Packs Compatibility List spreadsheets?

The specific hotfixes are no longer listed on the monthly spreadsheets, are we now supposed to run Windows Update to install Microsoft Security updates, if not, how do we identify the security hotfixes applicable to our systems?

The FAQ tab on the spreadsheet makes little sense.

As the spreadsheet is only applicable to 6.4 SP14, how does a 6.4 SP13 customer know what Microsoft security updates are approved by Avaya?

It all seems incredibly vague considering we can potentially end up installing incorrect patches onto our system, leaving us with a broken and unsupported Contact Centre.

Please help Avaya, this isn't progress and it isn't really good enough.

    Latest list is available here:

    Select ‘Product Documents’
Select ‘Contact Center Portfolio Service Packs Compatibility’
=> This allows to install all published hotfix up to the 2nd Tuesday of the month where the document was published. For critical MS hotfixes released within this month there will be a separate notification (PSN).
It was verified on systems running AACC 6.4 SP14 only but also applies for older AACC software load line-ups.

      Two questions hergenmuelle:

      1) Document is where? Link takes me to AACC product page.

      2) I've been told system must be on current SP level or Avaya doesn't vouch for compatibility with and applicability of Microsoft Windows updates, in other words: patch at your own risk.

      Thoughts?

        Avaya SOLN178753: https://support.avaya.com/ext/index?...ITLED_CUSTOMER

Latest AACC 6.4 document can be found at https://support.avaya.com/css/P8/documents/100168723

        Their policy reads:
Avaya Aura Contact Center / Contact Center Select Policy for Microsoft Updates

        Updated 19-2-2015

From the January 2015 version of this document our position is updated to the following.
Avaya will now support all Microsoft updates, security and non security that are published upto a date specified.
All Component tabs for AACC and ACCS are now obsolete
Only non compliant MS hotfixes will be noted in this Matrix from 2015 onward

Avaya only test Microsoft Hotfixes with the current GA release of AACC / ACCS
You can check out Microsoft's Security Bulletin for updates relevant to the product - https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/security/bulletin

And download the updates using WSUS Offline Update - http://www.wsusoffline.net/

Verify using Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer - https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/.../cc184924.aspx

        Hope this helps.
